girls celebratingJunior GB Trials & British Championships
Congratulations to all the juniors who took part in these and to the medal winners. So much potential! Katy has kindly written a full report – please see the separate story in news.

St Neots
Good luck to all those racing at St Neots Regatta this weekend – do bring us back lots and lots of medals.

At the same time Steven Parsonage races his final at U23 world champs in Bulgaria in the lightweight quad, go Steve!

Please help us with our next round of adult Taster sessions and L2R
We have another set of adult rowing Taster sessions from 13h00-16h00 on Saturday August 1st, 8th and 15th. Please do come and help us out with instruction or by jumping into boats. The aim as always is to get people hooked on our sport and the Taster sessions will be an important feeder into our second adult L2R course of the year in early September. If you can help out do please let me know as soon as possible (colwyn.thomas@uea.ac.uk) because if we don’t get enough help we can’t run the events. We are usually well supported at these sessions but it would be good to share the load more evenly amongst our membership. You don’t need to know much about rowing, you just need enthusiasm and patience. Remember also, we need to keep building our membership numbers and these Taster sessions were the vehicle for many of us taking up rowing – it’s payback time!

Boat Handling and Maintenance Tips
Hints and tips have been flooding in from you all thank you!  Here’s one…..

“Use a different cloth to clean out the runners to the one you use to clean the rest of the boat”
