Junior Squad

Womans Henley 001The club has a very active and successful squad of approx 30 juniors from 11-18 years old. They meet regularly throughout the week and weekends.

  • Tuesdays/Thursdays 5.30-7.30pm on water April to end of September, indoor training from October to March
  • Saturdays – 8.30am – 1pm for higher level groups
  • Saturdays – 10.45am – 1pm for development and intermediates
  • Sundays – high level group and invited potential fast trackers

Junior 1Junior Learn To Row Courses 2015

The next course for juniors to learn to row this year will be on the 17th – 19th August 2015. This 3 day course has 12 spaces for juniors aged 12-18, cost £100.

The regular coaches are:

  • Nigel Kippin (high performance group)
  • David Wynne – professional coach
  • Graham Sparkes – professional coach
  • Kevin Underwood
  • Kevin Aston

The juniors particpate in 1x, 2x, and 4x sculling plus a small amount of sweep oar as well.

They regularly attend regattas and rowing events around the country appropriate to their level.
